THIS IS HOW WE´RE DOING WITH THE ICFES TESTS
The ICFES manages a classification based on a general index (GI) calculated for each institution, in which the A+ classification is the highest. The general index, in turn, is made up of the indexes of the results of each of the five exam tests: science, English, mathematics, social studies, and reading.
Year after year, our school has been in the A+ ranking with a current GI of 0.84.
What does it mean to be in this category?
This classification is made after the application of the Saber 11 tests, that is, twice a year, and is generated based on the results of the students in the last three years. In addition, the classification not only takes into account the averages, but also the variance. That is, it checks how big the differences are between the students’ scores. The higher and more homogeneous the results of an institution’s students, the higher the ranking. For each of the exams, 80% of the students are taken into account. In 2021 the average of Colegio Jefferson was 355.
